Shaun O’Quinn

Shaun O’Quinn was born in Baxley Georgia in 1970 to Ferrell and Jane O’Quinn.  His family soon moved to Tennessee and they lived there until he was 13 years old.  Shaun then moved back to Georgia and has lived in Jesup most of his life.  Shaun graduated from Wayne County High School in 1989 and went on to Georgia Southern University where he graduated in 1994 with a Business Degree Majoring in Finance.  After graduating from Georgia Southern he worked with several different financial institutions and finally decided to open his own business in Jesup.  In 1999 he started O’Quinn & Associates, INC. an insurance consulting firm.

In 1998 he married the former Ms. Holly Deal.  In 2001 Shaun and Holly were blessed with a son, John Conley (J.C.) O’Quinn and in 2007 they were blessed again with a daughter, Brylie Mae O’Quinn.

Since he has been back in Jesup he has served as President of the Chamber of Commerce and has been a board of director for 7 years, he is a past President and board member of the Wayne County Exchange Club, a past president and board member of the Jesup Rotary Club, served as Chairman of the Wayne County Family Connection, is a member of the Wayne County Eagle Club, past Georgia Southern University Alumni Board member, past Board member and annual campaign chairmen for the Boys and Girl’s Club, Past Chairman of the Downtown Development Authority Board for the City of Jesup, Archfest committee member.  Shaun is also a member of the graduating class of 2002 Leadership Wayne.  He started the Wayne County Community Toy Drive which takes new donated toys and gives them to children in the DFACS system and to children in the Jesup Housing Authority.  While he was President of the Wayne County Chamber, he and his board started an event called Day For Wayne, where local legislators could come to Wayne County and relax with the people that they represent.  This is just a handful of the services that he has provided to his community.  

In 2008 Shaun was honored by the Boy Scouts of America with the Golden Eagle Award for all his community service and in 2009 he was honored again by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce with the Business Leader of the Year Award.  He is a 6 time All American Winner with his company Country Financial.  In 2017 he completed his first professional designation call the Retirement Income Certified Professional from the American College of Finance and Insurance.

Shaun now operates three businesses in Jesup; O’Quinn & Associates, O’Quinn Investments, LLC and The Soap and Suds Laundromat.  He and his family are members of Calvary Baptist Church
